Citrus & Stone is just getting started, and honestly, this is one of our favorite stages. Right now, our team is deep in the design phase, developing plans that will guide the project from concept through construction. Once the design is complete, we'll move into permitting. That means coordinating with consultants and the local jurisdiction to prepare, submit, and shepherd the plans through plan check and approval.
This is a full design-build renovation, so we're involved the whole way. We're handling everything from the initial architectural design through construction execution. As a result, once we break ground, our team stays on it from start to finish.
When construction begins, the scope will be significant. We'll reconfigure interior spaces and make structural modifications to support a new layout, including new beams, posts, and headers throughout. We'll also prepare openings for large-format door and window systems, which will call for careful coordination and reinforcement along the way.
Interior finishes will get equal attention. New flooring, tile, stone, and specialty materials will run throughout designated areas, alongside custom cabinetry and millwork in the kitchen and bathrooms. Meanwhile, updated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems will bring the home up to current standards, from new wiring and lighting to reconfigured HVAC and plumbing.
Outside, the transformation will be just as ambitious. Plans call for a new swimming pool, retaining walls for site stabilization, and expanded hardscape, including patios, terraces, and walkways built for outdoor dining and gathering. Site grading and drainage work will tie it all together, creating a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor living.
