A General Construction & Management Firm

Abbeyside Construction, Inc.

Over the years, as a general contractor of luxury homes, we have worked with some of the most creative, respected, and skilled architects and developers. For example, need a living space on the roof? We’ve done that. Or perhaps a beautiful multi-level home on a hillside property? That’s something we’ve built, too. Either way, whether it’s building a 100-unit shared living space or creating a one-of-a-kind home on a special piece of property, our team helps turn your project dreams into reality.

As a result, we have built a reputation as a trusted general contractor for luxury homes, reflecting our close attention to detail during every stage of the building process. Accordingly, each decision—from choosing the site to choosing the finishing touches—is backed by clear data and carefully reviewed against our client’s budget and schedule.

Here’s the thing: we believe

• every problem has a solution,
• working as a team is important, and
• communication is key.

Ultimately, these beliefs are at the heart of how we do business.

After all, at the end of the day, we’re all human… and the people who keep this well-oiled machine running. While you’re looking through our projects on the website, we want to give you the chance to get to know some of the best in the business.

Our Experience

WHAT BUILDING LOOKS LIKE

Every construction project is unique because every perspective is different.

For some developers, a clubhouse with all its features is more important than creating a rooftop garden. Meanwhile, many owners want a modern space with unique light fixtures and appliances that make their home feel comfortable. In contrast, others find peace and calm by restoring an old home and bringing it back to its glory days.

Ultimately, the look, flow, and layout are left in the capable hands of the designers, while the judgment, care, and plan for building the structure safely and soundly are left to ACI.

“THE DEVIL IS IN THE DETAILS.”

Working with You

In every great build story, there's a beginning, a middle, and your dreamy end.

Where it all starts

YOUR VISION

In fact, the process really begins with you, whether you’re a current homeowner, future homeowner, or developer. You have an idea, a dream, or a wish. Then you imagine it, think about it, and want it. It’s a place of comfort, peace, and calm... whether it’s for you, your family, or someone else. That image in your head is your dream environment. However, somewhere in there, the music comes to a grinding halt. It’s not because your vision has changed; it’s because you don’t know who to go to or what to do next. That’s okay. That's also why we’re here. We know how to turn the music back on.

The Drawings

You’ll contact us, and we’ll return your email or phone call within 48 hours. This is an exciting time, and we don’t want you to lose momentum. Next, we’ll talk about what you want, what you have, and what you need. We will keep it real... and if the truth is too much, we will work with you to see if it’s possible. Ultimately, whether it’s the building of a single-family home, a multi-family building, or a mixed-use high-rise, we believe the key to a successful project is the team in place. You may already have your design team. That’s amazing. But if you don’t, that’s okay. We have top-notch designers, engineers, and subs, and we’ll recommend the best fit for your project. See, construction isn’t just about building the structure. It’s about building the right team for the project, because that’s where the major “win” is for everyone.

What it becomes

Your dream realized

At this point, our pencils are sharpened. From there, design documents are nearly done, if not already finished. We’re reaching out to subs for bids and really tightening the bottom line. The team hosts a weekly owner/architect/contractor meeting to address potential issues early and provide updates on the status. Our “open book” approach is the best we can do to keep surprises at bay... it’s really the best for everyone. And when your project is finished, you will have had a hand in the process just as much as the architect, engineers, interior designer, landscapers, and us. After all, this is about you and your vision.

“Mike is flexible. He’s open to communication. They really do treat it as a team project – and that goes beyond this project. I can call him up and get his advice on another project and he’s very helpful.”

Andrea R.
Owner

“The big thing is that you get Mike. Our experience with other general contractors is that you get the BD person upfront but then it’s a matter of which teams you get… You wind up with a lot of people with a lot of checks and balances with no one taking responsibility for the whole project.”

Steven J.
Developer

“Being calm. Being a team player. Mike doesn’t send nasty emails making demands. He’s quick and done. It’s nice and refreshing.”

Todd B.
Subcontractor

“For me, it’s the deep relationship with the owner of my company. There’s trust and a personal rapport. I don’t have that same level of trust with other builders. Mike continues to reinforce that.”
